Dear Friends and Fans:

The nights are cool and crisp and the trees are sporting their beautiful fall colors. This is my very favorite season!

Before we get to all the news, we had a computer melt-down at my house. We completely lost the hard drive and, until we find the back-up CD's (I think Trouble has them), we do NOT have an email list to tell you about upcoming events and news. So, even if you were on our email list before, PLEASE register again. You can find the registration on our home page. Thanks!

Wow! Ronny's ElvisŪ Explosion was a wild weekend! Over 30 ETA's competed over the 3 days. Winners were 1st - Matt King, 2nd - Pete Paquette, and 3rd - Ben Klein. Ronny moved Hotel Central to the Days Inn and it was a great idea! The bar opened into the restaurant which made it perfect for jam sessions! We danced to everything from "YMCA" to "He's Just a Gigolo." All 3 nights saw fun get-togethers.

The Children's' Miracle Network was the big winner for the weekend.
Both the silent auctions and the ones held during the show were hugely successful. Great job, Ronny!

Two weeks later, Ronny, Jerome, Irv, Marie, Kathy and I flew to Philadelphia on our way to Dewey Beach, DE, for the 5th annual Elvistival! I didn't think it was possible to get one more person into the Rusty Rudder - but - the crowd was even bigger than in years past. Yachts lined the dock and people yelled and cheered all during the show. Winners in the Professional Division were 1st - Donny Edwards, 2nd - Dwight Icenhower, and 3rd - Jim Barone. There was lots of excitement with Donny ripping his jumpsuit just before he was to go on stage and Dwight locking his leather in the car and losing the keys. All turned out well, however, and the show went on. Winners in the Non-professional Division were 1st - Paul Daniels, 2nd - Jim Westover, and 3rd - Jim Smith.

The Rusty Rudder was a wonderful host providing rooms and meals for all the contestants. Both the outdoor and indoor stages were hopping for three days.

We topped off the weekend with a lovely cruise on a pontoon boat. We toured beautiful Rehobeth Bay at sunset listening to and singing great 50's and 60's music. Kudos to Irv for a fantastic idea!

Last weekend was the ElvisŪ FANtasy Fest . Patti Parry flew out from California a few days early so that she and I could spend some time together. We had a wonderful relaxed visit and my puppy, Trouble, fell in love with Patti. Every time I looked up, she was leaning against Patti and staring up at her.

Steve Christopher (ElvisŪ On the Air) and the Sweet Inspirations joined us for the weekend. A new addition this year was an outdoor tent which hosted ElvisŪ bingo, karaoke and more fun. The contest was exciting with all of the contestants backed by the Change of Habit Tribute Band. Winners were 1st - Matt King, 2nd - Leo Days, and 3rd - Chris Wilson. Peoples' Choice was Leo Days with Kavan a mere 6 votes behind. Special guests Robert Washington, Dwight Icenhower, Irv Cass, Johnny Loos, and Quentin Flagg rocked the house with their exciting Saturday night show. The finale with the Special Olympians marching onto the stage as the ETA's sang "Trilogy" was touching and wonderful!

A special note: Leo Days donated his 2nd place medal to one of the Special Olympians who walked around wearing it with a look of wonder and joy. Thanks, Leo, for a true act of kindness...

There are 4 more exciting events this year. On October 29th, Irv Cass and Dwight Icenhower will join the Liverpool Legends and Louise Harrison (George Harrison's sister) for "ElvisŪ Meets the Beatles." The place is the Col Ballroom in Davenport, Iowa. It's going to be a great show and tickets are available though Ticketmaster -
Official Ticketmaster site. Elvis Meets the Beatles tickets Col Ballroom Davenport, IA, Directions, seating chart.

November, we're on the road again....

November 11-13 is our 1st annual Branson ElvisŪ Explosion. Wayne Carman (Elvis' Karate Legacy) is our host and special guest at the Wildwood Flower Theater (formerly Ain't Misbehavin Theater). All contestants will receive a $200 prize package and some exciting surprises are in store.

November 18-20 will find us in Marquette, Iowa, for the Isle of Capri preliminary for their $50,000 finals. This is a fun weekend as the Change of Habit Tribute Band will be backing up all contestants. This casino is one of the friendliest in the US and the staff loves the ETA's and treats them wonderfully.

Lastly, the EEN annual Christmas show will be Saturday, November 26th - Thanksgiving Weekend. This year, the show stars Irv Cass, Curt Lechner, Johnny Loos, Jerome Marion, Ed Parzygnat, and Dennis Stella. Fill up with turkey on Thursday and join us Saturday night to kick off the holiday season.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.

See you soon!!!!
