Dear Friends and Fans:
Happy Fall! Warm days, cool nights - it's the most gorgeous time of the
year.
Dewey Beach's Elvistival was beautiful and fun as usual. The weather was
perfect and the Rusty Rudder was packed as always. The restaurant where
we have the competition is on Delaware's sparkling Rehoboth Bay and many
boats pull up to the dock during the show. It's great to look out toward
the water and see people dancing on their decks. Winners were 1st -
Irv Cass, 2nd -
Jesse Aron, 3rd - GaryElvis
Britt.
Irv's wedding was on October 2nd! It was beautiful with an autumn theme
and gorgeous colors. Beth looked lovely and Irv looked like a little boy
with his sideburns gone. Look for pictures of the bride and groom in our
picture corner.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Irv Cass!
The ElvisŪ FANtasy Fest in Portage, IN, was the second week of October.
The Special Olympics children make this ElvisŪ Festival so very special.
It is wonderful to see the children and know that, in some small way, we
are helping make their lives a little richer.
Quentin Flagg put on a
stupendous show with guitarist Anthony Smith from the Change of Habit
Showband - the two of them had the entire place rocking! Winners of the
contest were John Loos - 1st,
and Chris Wilson and Kavan
tied for 2nd.
The first weekend of November, Lake George, NY, held their first ElvisŪ
Fest. It was a total success! First of all, Lake George is almost the
most beautiful place on earth - a 32 mile picturesque lake surrounded by
mountains covered with trees blazing with green, orange, yellow, orange
and red. The contests had 54 entries! The show on Saturday night was a
huge hit! There were over 2000 people watching
Brandon Bennett,
Doug Church and Johnny Loos
strut their stuff backed by Anthony and the Guitar Street Orchestra. The
Sweet Inspirations sang their hearts out. I VERY highly recommend this
event for both ETA's and fans next year. Watch the website for 2005
dates!
November will bring Dwight
Icenhower's Blue Hawaiian Weekend, Isle of Capri - Marquette's
Tribute to the King, and the EEN Christmas show. We have had a change in
our lineup - due to a scheduling problem,
Matt King will not be able to
participate in the show this year. We are pleased to have Chris Wilson
join Jerome Marion, Irv
Cass, Dwight Icenhower, Johnny Loos, and
Ronny Craig in singing the
joys of the holiday season.
We are happy to announce Lou Vuto's
First Annual ETA Competition to be held in his Reflections Theater in
Gatlinburg, TN. The dates are February 18-20, 2005. All ETA's and fans
should plan to come down to beautiful Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for
this fun weekend.
Happy October birthdays to Joe
Tirrito, Jack Curtis,
Todd Allen,
John Brooks,
Eric Erickson, Johnny Loos,
and Duane Fortune.
Have a fun Halloween!
